Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, one of China’s busiest airports, saw its passenger throughput and cargo traffic rise steadily in the first three quarters of the year.
Passenger throughput hit 4.34 million last month, up 13.4 percent year on year, according to a statement filed to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
During the first nine months, passenger throughput totaled 39.35 million, representing an increase of 7.5 percent.
Cargo volumes amounted to 119,600 tonnes in September, jumping 11.7 percent from a year earlier. During the first three quarters, cargo volumes hit 924,700 tonnes, up 3.3 percent year on year.
The number of flight takeoffs and landings reached 30,500 last month, rising 6.6 percent, according to the statement.
