Facebook does not allow Huawei to pre-install its applications

Reuters reports that Facebook will no longer enable Huaweito pre-install its applications on smart phones. It’s the recent instance of Western technology firms linking to the beleagued Chinese telecommunications giant after President Trump issued a trade ban.

Huawei phone owners will continue to download and use applications such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook’s primary app and will still receive updates from the Play Store. Huawei will just be unable, in the case of other preloaded facilities like Twitter, to include them outside the box.

The consequences for Huawei aren’t necessarily as worrying as other previous Google and ARM choices, which limit the possibility of using key Android services and developing their own chips. But the transition from Facebook closes Huawei’s way of delivering key third-party applications to clients, stressing the need to use its own appstore alone
